According to Goodreads, I’ve officially read the most I have since signing up for the site: 90! I was really gunning for 100 last year, but there’s always this one! It might be harder, because I’m going to finish high school and enter college (wtf!) by the end of the year.
So, here are some of the best books that I’ve read over the course of 2017. That doesn’t mean that they’ve all been published this year, just ones that I’ve read!
Welcome to the first Diverse Author Spotlight! You may have seen me talk about this idea on twitter a little, but for those who haven’t, here’s the gist of it. Diverse Author Spotlight is a new monthly series on my blog where I’ll introduce and interview a marginalized author!
Mouse is probably everyone’s last choice in almost anything. Mouse is autistic, non-verbal, but a bright kid. After making friends in his new school with a girl named Bliss, he sees a ghost of his neighbor’s sister, learns some magic–and learns that he’s apparently destined to save the world.
Why this book?: I know the author from twitter, and they offered me a copy when it came out. Plus it just generally sounds amazing.
