The Sunday Post #5

the

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by The Caffinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to recap the week, and also to look forward to the next week. Basically, updates! (Due to posting schedules, my Sunday Post will be posted every 3 weeks!)

Recent News:

Nothing much has happened, surprisingly!

I decided to participate in #DiversityDecBingo on Twitter, and I have so far read Dreadnought by April Daniels, Ida by Alison Evans, Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates, Consider by Kristy Acevedo, and On the Edge of Gone by Corinne Duyvis. I’m currently still waiting for my copy of Not Your Sidekick, written by C.B. Lee, to come in the mail, and then I’ll be done!

One of my childhood favorite series had a new book came out, and I’m behind in reading it! I really need to start the author’s two new books, but I can’t wait to start it! The one that just came out is Ranger’s Apprentice: Early Years #2: The Battle at Hackham Heath. The other book by the author, John Flanagan, is Brotherband Chronicals: The Ghostfaces. I’m a little hesitant for The Ghostfaces because it depicts Native Americans, and I’m not sure if I’m ready to face possible extremely racist or stereotypical comments in it.

I also won an ARC of The Inexplicable Logic of My Life, Benjamin Alire Sáenz’s new book! Still waiting for that in the mail as well, along with Not Your Sidekick. Speaking of mail: is anyone else having delays? I’ve been waiting on a few packages for months now, and none of them have been coming!

    • Right?? And you’re sitting there seeing everyone else’s packages come in and nothing!! Bothers me so much. Some of mine have been delayed weeks, and my brother legit has NO IDEA where his package could be!!

  1. Oh, I know a few students who will be beyond thrilled to read anything new by John Flanagan!

Tis the season for delays, I think – it’s all the insane online Christmas shopping!! Fingers crossed your packages arrive safe and sound eventually. 🙂
