The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by The Caffinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to recap the week, and also to look forward to the next week. Basically, updates! (Due to posting schedules, my Sunday Post will be posted every 3 weeks!)
Recent News:
I’ve been overloaded with library books recently, and they’re all hits or misses. So far I’ve read The Girl from Everywhere (by Heidi Heilig), We Are the Ants (by Shaun David Hutchinson), Pet Sematary (by Stephen King), Wink Poppy Midnight (by April Genevieve Tucholke), Anna Dressed in Blood (by Kendare Blake), Under a Painted Sky (by Stacey Lee) and You Know Me Well (by Nina LaCour and David Leviathan)!
Under a Painted Sky is for the November Keep It Diverse read. I’m not normally a reader of historical fiction, but I’m willing to expand my horizons for diversity. I’m actually fairly excited about this book, as I’ve heard that Stacey Lee is an amazing writer. I’m also considering getting her newest novel, Outrun the Moon, from my school library because I’ve also heard good things about that one.
I’ve also gotten approved for The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco, Dreadnought by April Daniels, AND The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden on NetGalley!! So excited for them all. I know that’s quite a few, especially with my library list. But I think I’ve got plenty of time, so I’ll just not request any more 😉
Last piece of news was that I was contacted for a Blog Tour and Review post for Johanna Parkhurst’s Thanks a Lot, John LeClair, which blew me away. I can’t wait to share it with you guys. Amazing book, amazing characters, amazing author.
